I love going on trips!  Especially to see family and friends.  I love the differences in weather, and people.  I love seeing new things.  I love the lack of chores and dinner making!  I love showing the boys the world and how each state of the US is different.  I love planning and enjoying parks, lakes, playgrounds, museums.  I love getting dressed up for great weddings (it’s like the best date night every)!  Thanks Nate and LeeAnn for a great night!  but what I love most about trips is coming home!  It all looks so much better when you get away from it for awhile!

Shopping Trips

I went shopping for clothes today. It’s been awhile so I had no idea what my size was. I started in the women’s section and ended up in the ladies section. Yeah for me! I have no idea how many sizes I am down but it was nice to shop in the regular clothes. Why do women’s clothes have to have such large ugly prints on them? Yeah there are special clothes store for larger women but why can’t regular stores have nice women’s clothes. It irritates me that they have lots of cute clothes at the beginning of the store but those are all junior or small size clothing. Seriously the average size women is a size 12 not a 2. And frankly I’d like to seem some nice colors and cuts in those sizes even if I can’t wear them, it would be nice to know that one day I could! It seems as though the clothes industry pushes us to be small and I have no idea why…a woman who is a size 12 is beautiful and studies show that men actually prefer women in this size group then in smaller ones sooo why do they push the idea of a size 2. I’m just saying that we should all be happy with what size our body is and not feel pushed to starve ourselves or gorge ourselves to be what the fashion world wants!
